International House

  • ~12:00-4:00 p.m. | transportation to International House from campus is provided
  • Interested in exploring the nonprofit world? Join Career Center staff for a Career Trek to International House on Tuesday, October 29th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm (program time). This experience will provide students with an in-depth understanding of working at a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping immigrants and international culture thrive in the Charlotte community. The agenda will feature a behind-the-scenes tour including an overview of the organization’s programs and services, time to connect with International House employees working in a variety of job roles and functions, and a chance to learn about volunteer and intern opportunities.

Legal Pathways: Exploring an Impactful Career in Federal Government Law

  • Join us for an informative session on Federal Government Law Careers, where you'll discover a range of exciting opportunities within the federal legal landscape. Led by Allison Browns Rusnak, who is the Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs and Policy Communications at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). In this role, she oversees FHWA's Congressional Affairs Team, Legislative Analysis Team, and Briefings Team. Allison also served on detail at the White House from 2017-2018 as Senior Policy Advisor at the National Economic Council and Deputy Advisor for Infrastructure at the Council on Environmental Quality.
