Amazon and Charlotte co-developed a half-day long program that brought professionals to campus to teach students crucial hard skills needed by candidates seeking to become an Amazonian while also having the opportunity to be coached by professionals in the field.
Lowes worked with our university's FIT Program and Career Center to bring a group of students to their corporate campus to tour the facilities, network with professionals, and gain key insight on career paths available to them during college and post-graduation.
Collaboration between Novant Health, Charlotte, and Johnson C. Smith University to provide students with a course around design thinking with hands on experience solving workplace issues. These group experiences led into internships with Novant in the following semester. Program has sunset.
The W.S. Lee College of Engineering’s Senior Design Program brings together students and industrial partners in a collaborative research environment. As they tackle real-world engineering projects, the students and their industry supporters are afforded unlimited possibilities for learning and achievement.
A partnered event between Charlotte, Davidson, Johnson C. Smith, and Queens University of Charlotte, JELD-WEN, Ally, and Wells Fargo. Case competition for students centered around common workplace challenges corporations provided. Program has sunset.
Each year the MS Management Program hosts a Pitch Competition where employers, alumni and corporate guests serve as the judges giving valuable feedback to students on their professional brand statements just before peak hiring season begins.
The State Employee's Credit Union provides grant funding to help build internships in the community for college students. With their support, we are able to connect upwards of 20+ students with opportunities in our community. Currently active.
The Bank of America Applied Technology Program is designed to give students the opportunity to work for the bank while pursuing their undergraduate degrees. The 17-month program will provide students studying technology and business the means to gain real world experience in the financial services industry. Program has sunset.
Summer opportunities from multiple State agencies in the State of North Carolina. These 10-week, full time summer opportunities are a great way for students interested in government careers to gain experience and a professional network. Currently active.
The North Carolina Battery Complexity, Autonomous Vehicle and Electrification Research Center, the BATT CAVE, is driving innovation by unraveling the intricate world of batteries and their applications that will drive the next generation of autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and intelligence systems.
