
The purpose of this study abroad program course is to support students in their personal career development on an international scale. While many students may want to remain in the United States for their full time careers, others may want to explore career paths outside of the United States, in countries such as England where many U.S. companies have offices. This study abroad program will focus on the following topics:
- Connecting with international professionals and organizations
- Learning about the international graduate school and job search
- Preparing and utilizing a LinkedIn profile to connect with professionals internationally
- Understanding the work visa application process
- Practicing intercultural communication
- Developing career skills and strengths
In this program, students will engage in a variety of learning methods including class lectures, individual and group projects, employer visits, and other cultural activities that are unique to London and surrounding areas (museums, galleries, historical sites, etc.).
