Full professional internships for our masters and doctoral students. A Graduate Assistantship is an employment opportunity designed for/offered to prospective or currently enrolled graduate students to provide degree-related, experiential learning and/or work. They can be Research Assistants, Teaching Assistants, or other hourly positions.
Federal Work Study (FWS) jobs are only available to you if you have been awarded and accepted FWS aid in your financial aid award package. The FWS program enables students with financial need to work a part-time job on campus, earning money that helps pay for education and living expenses while enrolled at UNC Charlotte.
Resident Advisors (RAs) are responsible for carrying out the values of the Department of Housing and Residence Life by assisting with the growth, belonging, and community on their floors and within their hall(s). The RA is a student peer leader who lives in the residence halls and is in an integral position in the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The RA position has a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to being a role model, community leader, educator, administrator, helper, and team member.
There are a number of programs across campus that hire students as "peer professionals". These roles allow you to support your fellow students find success while on their college journey. Programs can include the PeerPros (Career Center), Peer Advisors (found in many College advising groups), Financial Wellness Coaches (Niner Finances), PAL Leaders (UCAE), Amplify Ambassadors (Wellness Promotion), and more.
