For a student aspiring to own and operate a design practice one day, the Gig Training program at the Career Center presented a perfect opportunity. Recommended by a mentor, Joel Fudge eagerly embraced the chance to explore the business side of design and acquire valuable entrepreneurial skills while still in school. The flexibility and hands-on experience offered by the program made it an ideal way to gain exposure to the professional world without committing to a full-time internship.
The Gig Training program is designed to provide students with real-world project-based learning experiences. Students participate in short-term projects that help them develop marketable skills, with a cap of 40 total hours of participation.
