Rachel King

Rachel serves as the Assistant Director of the Interview Prep Program for the University Career Center at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In her role, Rachel provides career coaching services to students in the Engineering, Manufacturing and Energy Career Community while also coordinating all practice interview initiatives on campus. Rachel’s primary responsibility is assisting students in all phases of career decision making, planning, and job search preparation. She also oversees the Big Interview program on campus.

Rachel completed a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration through Northeastern University in 2014. She is also a 2008 alumnus of UNC Charlotte where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Rachel's professional background includes over four years in healthcare administration before joining the Career Center in 2012 as a Recruiting Specialist. Rachel has been enthusiastically career coaching students since 2014.

Rachel is native to Indiana and relocated to North Carolina as a youth. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as her two labs, Callie and Calvin! She is an avid coffee drinker, loves traveling and enjoys trying new restaurants!
